Spain/Switzerland (*1989). Luz is part of the independent art scene in Bern. Her artistic practice includes composition, sound research and sound art.

She presents a solo project for experimental electronic music since 2022 and is co-founder of the quartett for free improvisation NoRest! With scenographer Annatina Huwiler she explores interdisciplinary sound objects, for example in the works Dysphoria or z’Berg (awarded with the Lis und Roman Clemens Preis).

She is currently working in the electroacoustic duo Minten & González with clarinetist Rebecca Minten. In 2022 she developed the piece Superorganismus with the contemporary quartet Tramontana.

Her works have been performed in Switzerland (Dampfzentrale, Walcheturm, Prozess, etc.), Germany (ZKM, Anachronismus, Madame Claude), Spain (MUNCYT, Sin Sal) and Northern Ireland (Sonorities Festival Belfast). 

Luz holds two Master’s degrees, one in Composition - Creative Practice and one in Contemporary Arts Practice, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Sound Arts. She earned these at the Bern University of the Arts. Previously, she graduated from the University of Bern with a degree in Spanish and French Literature and Linguistics.

She works part-time as an assistant in the Master Composition Creative Practice at the Bern University of the Arts (HKB).

Spanien/Schweiz (*1989). Luz ist Teil der freien Kunstszene in Bern. Ihre künstlerische Praxis umfasst Komposition, Klangforschung und Klangkunst.

Sie präsentiert seit 2022 ein Soloprojekt für experimentelle elektronische Musik und ist Mitgründerin des Quintetts für freie Improvisation NoRest!. Mit der Szenografin Annatina Huwiler erforscht sie interdisziplinäre Klangobjekte, z.B. in den Arbeiten Dysphoria oder z'Berg (mit dem Lis und Roman Clemens Preis ausgezeichnet ). Derzeit arbeitet sie im elektroakustischen Duo Minten & González mit der Klarinettistin Rebeca Minten. 2022 hat sie mit dem zeitgenössischen Tio Tramontana das Stück Superorganismus entwickelt.

Ihre Werke wurden in der Schweiz (Dampfzentrale, Walcheturm, Prozess, etc.), Deutschland (ZKM, Anachronismus, Madame Claude), Spanien (MUNCYT, Sin Sal) und Nordirland (Sonorities Festival Belfast) aufgeführt. 

Luz hat zwei Master-Abschlüsse, eins in Composition - Creative Practice und eins in Contemporary Arts Practice, sowie einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Sound Arts. Diese hat sie an der Hochschule der Künste Bern erworben. Zuvor hatte sie an der Universität Bern ein Studium der spanischen und französischen Literatur- und Sprachwissenschaft abgeschlossen.

Sie arbeitet Teilzeit als Assistentin im Master Composition Creative Practice an der Hochschule der Künste Bern.

Dende 2022 presenta un proxecto en solitario no ámbito da música electrónica experimental.  Xunto coa escenógrafa Annatina Huwiler investiga obxectos sonoros de xeito interdisciplinario, por exemplo nas obras Dysphoria ou z’BERG (galardoado co premio Lis und Roman Clemens Preis). Ademais é co-creadora do quinteto de improvisación NoRest! e traballa coa clarinetista Rebecca Minten no dúo electroacústico Minten & González. No 2022 desenvolveu a peza Superorganismus xunto co trío contemporáneo Tramontana.

Seus traballos foron presentados en Suiza (Dampfzentrale, Walcheturm, Prozess, etc.), Alemaña (ZKM, Anachronismus, Madame Claude), España (MUNCYT, Sin Sal) e Irlanda do Norte (Sonorities Festival Belfast).

Luz é licenciada en arte sonoro e especializouse no ámbito de Composition — Creative Practice ao que seguíu cun segundo máster en Contemporary Arts Practice na Universidade das Artes de Berna (Hochschule der Künste Bern). Antes de realizar esta formación licenciouse en filoloxía hispánica e francesa na Universidade de Berna.

É asistenta a tempo parcial no máster Composition Creative Practice na Universidade das Artes de Berna.
